Oxney Bottom
Oxney Bottom - 15/07/06
Team present are: Kev, Tracey, Barbra, Lisa.
As there were only four of the team present, and that an investigation of the site had not been carried out in daylight, it was decided that this would be a short investigation.
After arriving at the venue, the group explored through the woods first and could instantly hear numerous voices around them, very spooky indeed!.
Group protection was carried out by Kevin and then further exploration of the site took place.
Kev came across a large stone square with steps leading up to it, and picked up on a woman in medieval dress (country/peasant girl style) but had no name to go with her, and then picked up on a group of around 20 people, men, women and children.
At this moment a fairly well dressed man was sensed trying to incite a workers revolt/rebellion, and the group got the impression he was not a local, but that he travelled around causing this kind of trouble in the 17th to 18th century.
At this point, 2 men (not spirits) appeared out of nowhere, and said they'd come down from London to do an investigation of their own.
The ladies in the group were understandably wary, so they decided to call time on this particular section of the investigation for safety reasons, and they headed off to Western Heights in Dover simply to check it out, although nothing was sensed by any of the group whilst there.
It was decided that Oxney Bottom is definitely worth another investigation as it was so atmospheric, but that more members should be there so that personal safety is more assured.
Thanks from the Portals Team to those who attended and we look forward to a more detailed investigation of Oxney Bottom in the very near future.
